Fr. Christopher O. Ezeh is a citizen of the United States of America and of Nigeria. He entered the junior seminary in 1980. After his 14 years priestly training in the seminary with two bachelors’ degrees in Philosophy and Theology, he was ordained to the Catholic Priesthood on Aug 20, 1994, for the Catholic Diocese of Awka in Anambra State, Nigeria. He published his very first book in 1994, titled: Children: A Blessing or a Curse; The Task of Family Child Upbringing.

Fr. Christopher is a popular retreat preacher and an eloquent public speaker endowed with the power of conviction and gift of counseling.

In the United States of America, Fr. Christopher earned a master’s degree in Educational Administration, with specialization in Higher Education. He earned another master’s degree in Theology and Ministry; and PhD in Sacred Theology with specialization in Pastoral Counseling.

With the authorization of his ordinary, Fr. Christopher received his first Ecclesiastical Endorsement on Oct 22, 2007 from the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, to serve as a Catholic Chaplain in the VA. On Aug 1, 2008, Fr. Christopher was hired as a Fee Base Chaplain Consultant of 16 hours every week by the VA Medical Center, Canandaigua, NY.

It is worthy of note that while Christopher was undergoing his graduate education at the University of Rochester, NY, he was at the same time working with Rochester City School District as a substitute teacher in the elementary/high schools. Having worked for six years with all kinds of school teachers, administrators, staffs, students and school children from Pre-K to 12 of great diversity, covering about 58 elementary schools and about 24 middle/high schools in the city of Rochester, Fr. Christopher, was fortified and fully equipped with the kind of experiences required to write and publish his second book titled: “The Disaster of the Absence of Moral and Religious Education in the American Public Schools: Controversies and Possible Solutions,” published in 2010.

On Aug 1, 2009, Fr. Christopher left the VA Medical Center, for Little Rock Air Force Base, at the request of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, to cover the absence of a deployed Military Chaplain effective Aug 3, 2009. With his acceptance of this temporal assignment, his teaching with Rochester City School District ended.

Toward the completion of this temporal assignment and with the authorization of his ordinary, Fr. Christopher received another Ecclesiastical Endorsement  on Dec 9, 2009, from the Military Archdiocese, to apply for a commission as a Catholic Chaplain in the United States Air Force (USAF). Fortunately or unfortunately, this did not work out as planned.

In 2010, the deployed Military Chaplain returned to the base and Fr. Christopher finished his temporal assignment. On March 2, 2011, Fr. Christopher was rehired back as a VA Chaplain in the capacity of a GS employee by the VA Medical Center, Canandaigua, NY.

In April of 2014, Fr. Christopher published his third book entitled: Holy Eucharist: The Beauty of Catholicism and the Glory and Essence of the Catholic Priesthood; the Scandal of its Abuses.

His other hobbies include, spiritual talks, retreat preaching, parish missions, Eucharistic adoration healing ministrations, reading and writing, music, badminton and jogging etc.
